In 2001, The Hour of Flower Power burst onto 92.1 FM WVLT, helmed by the always holy but not righteous, Reverend Greg. We carved out our own little corner of the airwaves, spinning psychedelic grooves, classic sixties hits, and obscure deep cuts that other stations wouldn’t touch. Over the years, the show became a haven for music legends — Donovan, Mark Volman of The Turtles, Todd Rundgren, Mark Lindsay from Paul Revere & The Raiders, Gary Lewis, Bob Weir of the Grateful Dead, Billy J. Kramer, and countless others stopped by, called in, or shared stories, keeping every hour unpredictable and alive. From a little broadcasting shack in the pine barrens of New Jersey, our reach went well over the river into the Philly burbs.

As the internet began to stretch its wings, Rev. Greg jumped into the brave new world of online broadcasting. No longer confined to the FM dial, we reached listeners far and wide, building a dedicated following of 30,000 subscribers through early podcasting and iTunes. Calls, video-chats, and surprise celebrity drop-ins kept the airwaves buzzing. Listeners from around the globe tuned in for the mix of classic tunes and irreverent antics, forming a community that thrived on music and shared nostalgia. From dodgy streaming connections to triumphant first downloads, this era transformed Umrk Web Radio into a station that was as much about the people behind it as the music itself.

After an incredible run through 2016, I stepped away for nearly ten years to explore other projects, recharge, and let the world spin on without me. Umrk Web Radio might have been quiet, but the music never stopped playing in my head, and the memories of unforgettable live shows, legendary interviews, and those early morning, late-night marathons kept calling me back. Now, with a freshly painted studio, upgraded gear, and renewed energy, the station is back — live, streaming, and spinning 24/7. From the classic hits that started it all to rare gems you didn’t know you needed, every show carries the same spirit of unpredictability, nostalgia, and good vibes. The return isn’t just about broadcasting; it’s about rekindling a community, sharing stories, and keeping the groove alive. Stop in and join the Crisco party!
